Long-time Society show-goer and writer for The Santa Clarita Valley Proclaimer, Sean Malin, just released an article and Q&A with Society Comedy Troupe co-director (that’s me!), Lincoln Hoppe.

Sean interviewed me a few weeks ago. It was a great opportunity to discuss our performances, home theater at The Main, and improvisation comedy with a person so familiar with our shows.

The article/Q&A focuses on The Society Comedy Troupe’s place in their hometown, but almost everything still applies to our shows out on the road, and will even give outsiders insight to how we work and can interact with different audiences.

The Article is delightfully entitled: “The Society Reigns Supreme As Santa Clarita’s Champion Improv Squad”

“While many in the revolving cast are not local residents, The Society has embedded itself in Santa Clarita’s nightlife through an unending stream of fully improvised performances. Now, after more than ten years, the group’s (often sold out) monthly showcase has become this city’s premier comedy event.”

Lincoln Hoppe is an actor, writer, director, and father of 5. He is the the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Society Comedy Troupe.
